War of the Worlds Movie Review

Synopsis: Based on the H.G. Wells novel War of the Worlds written in 1898, this modern adaptation of Wells vision of a martian invasion of Earth comes to life.

Our Rating: 6 out of 10. Cruise's character is not likeable from the beginning making this film very difficult to get emontionally involved in. The scary parts fall short and the special effects don't live up to expectations. The only satisfying experience about this movie is that Spielberg captures the feel of a 50's style Sci Fi film and blends it nicely with modern day movie technology to create somthing of a nostalgic feel to the movie.
